Why I Built Courtino

Adam, creator of Courtino

I was never the admin of a sports group — I was a member. But up close I saw how much time it took the admins of my groups, and how many problems appeared as the groups grew.

The more people and the more courts, the more had to be added to the spreadsheet by hand. Admins calculated settlements themselves, explained to new members how to use the spreadsheet at all, published sign-ups by hand and entered the people who signed up in the right order. Every change, even the smallest — like someone dropping out of a session — needed their intervention.

I built Courtino mainly to make the work easier for the admins of groups like these. Automations take over what used to have to be tracked by hand. And the statistics show the real progress of the group and of individual players — something there simply wasn’t time for before, and which genuinely helps keep a group motivated.

Until October 2026 the app was called B-Admin-Time — a play on badminton, where it started. Today it covers six racket sports, so it got a name that fits any court: Courtino.

See what that means in practice: sign-ups and the waitlist, settlements and ELO ranking, read the guides on the blog, or check the full pricing.
